Good morning,
Life is very busy, we have all the demolition of the insides completed. After they finish framing the kitchen/bath area downstairs, they will complete the framing of the new room above and then the roof is next. They will have to take down the parts of the roof that are there and then rebuild. I think they will wait till next week to start that process, but who knows. It is just that we are expecting bad weather on Friday. Today, they are framing and replacing the outside wall in the great room because of damage. The new roof will not be flat but will be more like a regular roof. It will change the look of the house from some angles.
So much has happened in the last week. We have decided on a floor plan for the downstairs area, window placements, etc. The carpenter gave us an idea, we went to P. C. Builders and Home Depot and got more ideas, and feel good about what we have planned at this point. Today we are deciding on the window layout for the new room. We just take it one day and one decision at a time.
While we are doing all that, we went and picked up some things we feel we need to have now, a mixer, knives, etc. I do have to start actually cooking again at some point.
Tracy is coming next week. She arrives on Monday night and leaves at the same time I do on Sunday. I am going to the Gathering in Denver for five days. Yea!

Hi Carolyn & Bob! I just found out about your fire and wanted to let you know that you and your center are in my prayers! I was so grateful to be able to read your blog to see how you were doing and the progress that has been made. I am knowing that when your house has been completed it will be even more wonderful than before!
