Good morning everyone,
I know it has been a long time. Bob and I went on the cruise, there are lots of things going on, and I use the blog so infrequently - that I have to learn how to use it again every time I come here.
We have shingles, windows, most of the siding and the plumbing and HVAC have gotten a lot of work done and the electrician starts today. We have decided on our kitchen cabinets and are really excited about that, we know the wood the floors will be made of but won't decide on the color until the floor is in, we ordered our jacuzzi bathtub and are starting to look for tile in earnest. It is all coming together.
Bob and I decided to buy a queen size bed that will go in the green room so Tracy will have a good bed to sleep on while she is here next week. While we are at Furniture Row i saw a table serving thing that I liked. We know we want a black island to go with our kitchen cabinets, we know we want it on rollers. so here is this table that has a swing top that can either be 4' by 2' or 4' by 4'and comes with four stools for half price. We bought it. It really felt so good to be buying something especially for the new house. This is real, we really will get back into our home and it will be beautiful and Spirit really does supply all we need in ways we cannot imagine.
Tracy will be here on Friday and can stay until next Thursday. I have to guard my to-do list doesn't get out of hand. She is so helpful and it is so much easier to make decisions when someone else is there to support who you trust and this computer stuff can sometimes be really 'character building.'
On Sunday we are inviting people to come and write blessings or tape blessings into the walls of the home before the insulation goes in. It will be so neat to know the very walls are filled with blessings. We know it is Mother's Day but hope people can find a few minutes to stop by.
I have been fascinated with what I see on the roof next door as I sit at my computer. I have seen squirrels playing, birds in groups sitting very still, two birds playing and one little bird sitting perfectly still on the very edge of the roof for a long time. It looked like the wind should blow it off. Yesterday I saw a bird that seemed to be scratching its body against the shingles. A very intense process that was fun to watch. Today I looked out and there was a man yelling at someone in the street. I didn't pay much attention until he said, "I can't get down." Bob went over and met our neighbor and put his ladder back against the house. My new office will have a new window that looks out on the porch, I think I will really enjoy that.
Love you all and would like to get feedback or questions. I don't really know what you don't know or are interested in knowing.
Life is very sweet - Bob will look at me and say, - it don't get much better than this. It doesn't much matter what is going on, we just seem to know how blessed we are. Another benefit of the fire, maybe, or maybe an intensifying of something we already knew.
Have a great day!
